This project consisted in the confirmation of a system of cartography through an integrated technological platform and a reservoir that stores and administers all the cartography of Telecom Argentina and its associated alphanumeric information. This way, any application or user works on the same base cartography with the extra information of point of interest. The objectives that lead the project were:
- Take care of the integrity of the information.
- Allow the integration with the other applications of the Company.
- Ensure the disponibility for all the applications that require cartography.
- Avoid data duplicity and maintenance tasks.
- Optimize the effort and investment in updating and incorporation of cartography.
- Give access security.
The graphical data implemented allows the use of common layers of information for all the users and the specific layers of information for each user according to their needs.
The layers with specific information are accessible only for the corresponding user, according to the permit of access.
In this project we use different technologies of Systems Geographic Information, principally Oracle, Vision, MapGuide and Autocad Map.
Geosystems has provided a software of base, the design of the Data Base, the development of specific application for the migration process and data validation, the tasks of incorporation of the cartography to the system and all the tasks related to the design, implementation and maintenance of the applications related to the Cartography System.
